Ken Hughes, CPA

Ken graduated from Panhandle State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Business Administration in 1983, and became a CPA in 1986. Originally from Lewisville, Texas, Ken became a partner in the firm in 1993, and became the sole owner in 1998. When the firm added additional partners in 2001, Ken became the managing shareholder. Ken is intimately involved in all areas of the practice including tax consultation, tax return preparation, auditing, and planning and structuring of business sales and acquisitions.

Under the leadership of Ken, the firm has grown from a small local CPA firm, to a recognized leader for Mortgage Brokers. Ken established a Mortgage Broker firm in 1994 and sold the broker firm in 2004.  Ken is a recognized speaker for the Texas Association of Mortgage Brokers and the Affordable Housing Association of CPA’s.  He speaks and teaches regularly to mortgage brokers, CPA’s and real estate agents.  The firm has became the referred auditor of choice for HUD approval and recertification and works regularly with Mortgage Broker clients throughout the state of Texas in providing business planning, quality control plans and audits, and Department of HUD audits.  

Ken's hobbies are running, golf, hunting, and anything he can do with his two children.
