Dana graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting. After graduation, Dana joined Coopers & Lybrand in Midland in 1988. She obtained her CPA license and worked in the audit and tax departments with a heavy emphasis on oil & gas. Dana transferred to the Lubbock office of Coopers & Lybrand the next year and worked there until June of 1999. While in Lubbock, Dana gained extensive experience in all types of taxation- corporate, individual, partnership, estate, and fiduciary. In August of 1999, Dana joined Ken Hughes & Associates, and became a shareholder in the firm in January of 2003. Since joining the firm, Dana has worked extensively with various business and individual clients in tax planning and tax compliance.
Dana married Andy Haynie in 1976 in the small west Texas town of Munday. They have two children, who have both graduated from college and live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Since their retirement from school age children, Dana and Andy enjoy boating, fishing, and travel. Dana also enjoys jogging, playing bunco, and shopping.
