Ken Hughes and Associates, PC is a member of the QuickBooks Professional Advisors Program. Over the years we have taught many of our clients not just how to use the QuickBooks software but also how to use it to the fullest capacity for their particular industry. We teach one-on-one instruction and are then available for questions that arise once the client is on his own with his QuickBooks software. We have set up all kinds of businesses on QuickBooks from homebuilders to chambers of commerce and would like the opportunity to share our knowledge and expertise with you to help you learn to use this software.
In addition to QuickBooks consulting, we have CPAs on staff who are familiar with many other accounting software programs to include Peachtree and Quicken. We have also assisted many of our clients who have industry specific software. While we may not be familiar with your particular software, we have worked with enough different types that we usually have a base of knowledge that enables us to work with you on your software. We also have a Microsoft Certified Engineer on staff to help us with any hardware-related problems.
We can be involved in as much of your payroll needs or as little as you desire. For some of our clients, we do their entire payroll from writing the checks, to making the payroll deposits, to preparing all payroll reports. For other clients, we spend a few hours teaching them how to handle their own payroll and then we only hear from them when they have questions. We have a Certified Payroll Professional on staff and access to resources that enable us to research any complicated payroll issues that might arise. We will work with you on your payroll however you wish to ensure that your payroll is done the most efficient way possible and that all reporting and taxes due are in compliance with the myriad of state and federal requirements.
A new, but growing, segment of our business is what we call "elder care". As our clients age we have found an increasing need to provide not just a bill paying service, but a service that can coordinate all the different entities that deal with the care of the elderly. We have worked with home health care agencies, insurance agencies and utility companies, to name a few, to ensure that our older clients have their financial and physical needs taken care of. In addition to our elderly clients, we work with out of town children who want their elderly parents to remain in their own homes, but need a watchful eye to make sure that all is well. We do that and more.
